Praise be to God that we, like the two Marys, are met by Jesus in our fear and in our joy. We are resurrection people, Easter people, and when we turn away from the tomb and toward the world, we see Jesus alive and on the loose, changing everything we thought we knew. We go from this place, like the women, with fear and great joy — and that is exactly right. We don't need to have it all figured out. We just need to turn from the tomb and run. Because the good news of Easter is that hope wins. Life wins. Love wins. May we go from this place eager to see where and how the Risen One will meet us in our neighbors and friends, in prayer, in our advocacy for what is good and just. May we see Jesus as we go to share the good news that Christ is risen - he is risen indeed!
