At Horeb, God reminds Elijah that we already have what we most need, in every situation - God’s faithful presence. God may not appear in ways that we expect, but God is always present. Sometimes, we need to slow down, to stop doing, stop talking, stop letting our emotions control us, in order to realize that God has been alongside us the entire time, through our successes and in our deepest failures and darkest moments.
