Let There Be Light

For seven weeks, we've been building this cathedral - foundation, buttresses, open nave, cross-shape, welcoming doors, beauty, and now light. The medieval builders knew that all those other elements existed for this purpose: to let the light shine. That's true for us too. Everything we've learned—about being grounded in Christ, supporting each other, welcoming all, being shaped by the cross, opening doors, noticing beauty—all of it is so we can be light-bearers in a dark world.

Each breath is another chance for God's light to flow through you, coloring a black-and-white world with vivid hues. May we be people who don't just admire the light, but who shine it. Not because we're perfect, but because we've been touched by the One who is Light itself. Let your light shine!
