Rev. Melissa Scott

Since 1999, Melissa has served on this corner of Manassas and Colonial Avenue, first as minister of youth and education, associate pastor, and then pastor of Colonial Avenue Baptist Church, and now as pastor of Radiance.

A native of Virginia, Melissa studied psychology and religious studies at the University of Virginia and received her master of divinity at Baptist Theological Serminary of Richmond. Her favorite part of ministry is helping people of all ages grow in their faith and discover their place in God's story. In her free time, Melissa enjoys reading (especially mysteries and fantasy), cooking, and attending games at UVa with her husband, Ric.
