Like those disciples on the road, we, too, are often walking roads we didn't expect to walk, asking questions we never thought we would have to ask, trying to discern what is true in a time of distortion. And still, Jesus walks with us. In a world of noise and confusion, perhaps we will find him where we always have, walking alongside the weary, present in honest conversation, revealed in shared bread, and known in acts of quiet, self-giving love.
